About
me

I'm Nathan Lonsdale, an architect and the founder of Spacelab, the London architecture practice I set up in 2002.

I led the practice for over 2 decades and won numerous awards along the way before selling it in 2025.

One of my first projects appeared on Channel 4's Grand Designs. It set the tone for the people-first approach that shaped Spacelab's work ever since: understanding how people actually want to live, before drawing a single line.

Alongside Spacelab, I founded Energylab, a mechanical and electrical services company, and Urbanlab, a property development company. This gives me a rare, all-round view of design, what's buildable, and what adds value.

Now I'm bringing that experience directly to buyers, helping you see a property's potential and how it could work for your life, before you commit.

Good design isn't a luxury

It turns a house into a home.

Send over the property details and a few times that suit you, and we'll get a visit in the diary.

Visiting homes across Bromley, Beckenham, Chislehurst and the surrounding areas.

Advice given on a design visit is early stage and exploratory, showing the art of the possible rather than acting as a formal survey or design feasibility study.
